The photographs 'Flumen 1, 2, and 3' document performative actions of washing a string of cloth in the river, drawing on the 14th-century history of the island Île Saint Louis when it was primarily used for grazing cattle, fishing, and drying laundry.

The video “Seine” contemplates the subtle notion of time, through the performative sequences of walking, washing and drying the pieces of cloth. Lastly, it creates a visual sense of fleeting time through the depiction of ever-changing colours and movements of the river.

The photograph 'Sequence' is derived from a site-specific performance on the island of Île Saint Louis. In this work, I explore the ideas of sequence and continuance. The solid stone walls of Quai de Bourbon provide a backdrop for the photograph, layered with the history and architecture of Île Saint Louis.
